Greenports Nederland

Greenports Nederland is a partnership of regional Greenports. This organisation regards the horticulture sector as a frontrunner that can offer solutions to the challenges faced by the world in terms of the feeding and greening of mega cities. One of Greenports Nederland’s ambitions for 2030 is to have a climate-proof and modern production region geared towards sustainable production, circular design, greater biodiversity, and availability of energy and heat, clean water, and other production elements.

About the projects:

About 20 years ago, Florpartners was a co-initiator and project agency for the first Greenport in Westland for many years.

Much later, Florpartners fleshed out the Greenport 3.0 concept with a clear vision. This report was very well received and has become a foundational document for policy makers in various ministries and provinces. The main idea of Greenport 3.0 is to think and act in terms of chains and networks, and greater interwovenness with Mainports and the city.

At present, Florpartners is the project leader of the Spatial Planning Transition Table. To achieve the desired steps towards modernisation of the various horticultural regions, Greenports Nederland has chosen to work in an area-focused manner and to put more emphasis on entrepreneurs being in the driving seat: a bottom-up approach.
